Myanmar to hold parliamentary by-elections in April, including conflict-hit areas

Although the by-elections are unlikely to alter the balance of power in the national parliament, which is currently dominated by the military-backed Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), they could offer an indication of public support for the participating parties.
